Value Australia is the product of a collaboration between innovation leaders in research, government, and industry – University of New South Wales (UNSW), FrontierSI and PEXA.
It has been developed off the back of a six-year pilot program across metropolitan Sydney and Brisbane as part of the award-winning RAISE project, creating next-generation Automated Valuation Models.

Senior Data Scientist, Value Australia

Vivien is a senior data scientist with over 10 years’ experience in data science and urban analytics. She leads innovative data-driven solutions to support automated property valuation, land mass valuation and urban planning scenarios using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques. Vivien completed her Ph.D. in Urban Planning at University of New South Wales in 2017. She remains actively engaged in the academic community, as an honoured scholar affiliated with the City Futures Research Centre at UNSW, where she continues to contribute to cutting-edge research and knowledge dissemination in property economics and housing analytics.

Frank has enjoyed an accomplished career as a Member of Parliament. He is an internationally acclaimed innovator and was Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Innovation. He is also dual winner of Australian journalism's most prestigious honour, the Walkley Award.
Frank was Victoria’s first Parliamentary Secretary for Medical Research, driving Victoria’s medical research strategy since December 2014. He called for a partnership with America in President Barack Obama’s ‘Moonshot’ quest to cure cancer, which led to then-United States Vice President Joe Biden's visit to Melbourne for the opening of the billion dollar jewel in Australia's medical research crown, the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Frank was nominated for the international Metropolis Award for innovation in 2011 for his model for smarter, healthier, better connected and sustainable communities, the Global Learning Village, supported by Silicon Valley leaders Microsoft, Intel and Cisco Systems. He is also the recipient of a Human Rights Media award, producer of a documentary on the centenary of the Venice Biennale, Art & Identity and co-founder of the independent production company, McGuire Media.
Frank is a fellow of Leadership Victoria and in 2016 published Creating Opportunity: Postcodes of Hope, a blueprint for cultural, generational and systemic change delivering lifelong learning and economic development.

Shoshana has more than 25 years’ experience in strategy, transformation, engagement and business development with a demonstrable track record in start-up high profile organisations such as Service NSW, PEXA and nbnco. She has counselled CEOs, Government Ministers and senior leaders across large multinationals, peak bodies and the public sector including PEXA, John Holland Group, NSW Treasury, NSW Premier and Cabinet, NSW Land and Housing Corporation and the Property Council of Australia. She is a business development leader, delivering millions of dollars of revenue for three professional consultancies expanding their client base in new sectors. Read more
She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, IAP2 accredited with the International Association for Public Participation, and a Graduate of the Cranlana Colloquium Leadership Program with a Communications Degree specialising in journalism.

With more than 25 years’ corporate experience, Scott Butterworth joined PEXA in November 2021. As Chief Growth Officer, Scott is responsible for extending PEXA’s business into providing new innovative data insights solutions and digital services. Read more
Prior to joining PEXA, Scott was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for ASX-listed firm, Slater & Gordon. He has also held senior roles at Boston Consulting Group, National Australia Bank, Westpac and Clydesdale Bank, where he served as both CFO and Chief Data Officer.

Graeme has been CEO of FrontierSI since July 2018. He previously served as CEO and Deputy CEO for the Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information (CRCSI), where he was responsible for operations, including finance, compliance, legals, corporate governance, business development and commercialisation. Graeme’s prior experience includes technology transfer, including negotiation of commercial agreements, commercial and route-to-market strategies, intellectual property management, licencing, and project planning.
Group Advocate at PEXA
Board member
Simon is a distinguished public sector executive who joined PEXA in 2020 as the Chief Operating Officer and is currently its Group Advocate. He was responsible for enabling a favourable regulatory environment, devising and delivering business simplification and modernised enterprise architecture, information and cyber security, and the provision of business technology. Read more
Simon joined PEXA from international management consultancy Nous Group, where he worked extensively with government and university leaders developing strategy, delivering transformation and strengthening governance practices.
Simon has also extensive experience in the public sector, having served 24 years with the NSW Government in several roles including Secretary of the Department of Industry, CEO of the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation, and Deputy Director General of the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Economic Policy).
